I saw a really awesome announcement and wanted to share it with ya’ll! San Antonio’s very own San Antonio College, located in the heart of downtown, won the Aspen Prize. This is given to the top U.S Community College in the United States! Barack Obama called the competition “basically the Oscars for great community colleges.”
SAC was selected out of about 1,000 community colleges in total nationwide. There were multiple rounds of data analysis, interviews with the staff and students, and plenty of campus tours that ultimately led to this decision.

What does this mean for the already appreciation and growing area of Five Points? We believe that this will really help bring additional attention, students, professors, and classes to the college.
This should lead to an increased demand for people wanting to attend the campus which will lead to more people looking to buy or rent in the area. This is an already growing area and the numbers speak for themselves, last year the average home price increased by 11.9%!!!
